In the first part of the year we were learning about some biomes and there characteristics. Here is a linck with a popplet I did about some biomes.
We study also of the desert biome has three diferent types: hot and dry desert, cold desert, cold desert. A desert is a place that gets just a bit of rain every year. A desert can be very hot in daytime and cold at night. Here is a popplet.
Other biome is the tundra biome. The tundra is near the North Pole. Trees do not grow there. Winters are very cold. Summers last for a very short time. There are two types: Arctic tundra, Alpine tundra. As the others we did a popplet.
On the other hand we study the tropical raiforest. The tropical rain forest is a forest of tall trees. Rain forests belong to the tropical wet climate group. There is usually a brief season of less rain.
And the last biome is the grassland. Grasslands are characterized as lands dominated by grasses rather than large shrubs or trees. There are five grassland: Savanna, Temperate grassland, Steppe, Pampa and Prairies. And the las popplet.
